值此我国第36个教师节，我代表校理事会向全体教职员工致以诚挚的问候和良好的祝愿！并衷心祝贺当选的31位优秀教职员工，热烈欢迎新聘的50多位中外教师。在此我也要特别感谢全体师生，一手抓防疫，一手抓教学，线上线下并举，成功防住了疫情、守住了学校，保住了教育教学质量。
教育是民族振兴和社会进步的重要基石。教师的重要性不言而喻，教师的社会地位不断提高。希望你们珍惜岗位，尽职尽责，并不断完善自我，做有理想、有道德、有学识、有爱心的好老师。
在过去的一学年里，我们的师生秉承一贯的“求真务实，追求卓越”作风，继续以“奉献、专业、人文、创新”的祈福学人精神，取得了不逊于以往的可圈可点的办学成绩。
幼儿园坚守教育的本质，守护天真，亲近自然，尊重个性，开拓眼界，以开放包容的教学理念，重视幼儿的中英文双语发展，不断提高保教服务质量，持续赢得家长的信赖，是“一直被模仿，从未被超越”的行业标杆。
小学在继续出色发挥中英文双语课程优势的同时，积极探索实施智能化课程并初显成效，在专业发展、教学科研、素质教育等方面屡获省市国家级嘉奖。学生全面发展，并在英语能力、科技创新、文艺素养等方面凸显优势。
中学在重视必修课的同时，以全英文选修课程和校本课程落实个性化教育，受到学生热捧；师资研究生比例近半数；中高考再创佳绩;中加中美班毕业生以优秀的学业成绩、出众的综合素养、出色的创新能力，100%被世界著名学府录取。学生在国际发明展第14次斩获金奖。
国际部努力把学生的学业发展和健康成长放在第一位，以特色课程顺应发展的需要，为五湖四海的学生提供了多姿多彩的学习和成长环境，培养的毕业生走向世界各地的知名大学。
学校适时成立了校友会，为海内外校友们提供了联系交流与继续成长的平台。这是学校发展历史上的一件重要大事，也是学校20多年辉煌历程的一个证明。
在新的学年里，希望我校中外教师相互学习、理解尊重，精诚合作，为学校新的发展不断输入正能量，以完整教育培养有道德有智慧的复合型国际人才。同时教育我们的学生不负韶华，求真明理；锤炼品格，创新思维；胸怀祖国，面向世界；和谐相处，共享美好的国际化校园。
希望各教学部门努力提高教学质量，提升品牌内涵。特别是中学和国际部，要卧薪尝胆，心无旁骛，创出里程碑式的教学成就。另外，新冠病毒可能与人类共存，我们应加强公共健康教育和生命安全教育，养成良好个人卫生习惯。

Dr. Pang’s Speech at the Conference
Dear teachers and friends,
On this 36th National Teachers’ Appreciation Day, I would like to first extend my sincere greetings and good wishes to all faculty & staff, on behalf of the school board.?Additionally, I would like to give my congratulations to the 31 excellent faculty & staff of the year, as well as my warm welcome to more than 50 new Chinese and Western teachers. And on this occasion, I want very much to offer my special thanks to all of you, who fought the Covid-19 and provided online and offline teaching.? You’ve successfully prevented the virus, protected the school, and retained the quality of our education.
Education is the footstone of national revival and social progress. Therefore, the importance of teachers goes without saying.? I am glad the social and economical status of teachers continues to go up, and I hope you cherish your career, commit to your job, and continue your self-improvement.? Try to be a successful teacher with lofty goals, professional ethics, rich learning, and caring heart for our students.
Over the past year, our faculty and students “sought excellence with a down-to-earth attitude”, promoted the Clifford faculty spirit of “dedication, professionalism, humanism, innovation”, and have made remarkable achievements again.
Our kindergartens believe in the essence of education. They cherish children’s innocence, close up to nature, contain differences, and offer broad interests. With an open and inclusive philosophy, they stress children’s Chinese & English bilingual development. Their upgraded educational services enjoy continued trust and satisfaction from the parents. For long, our kindergartens act as unsurpassable models for others to learn from.
Our elementary school, based on bilingual curricula, has made initial steps in artificial-intelligence-aided teaching. Our teachers have received municipal, provincial, and national prizes, for their professional developments, teaching & research, and allround education. Its students, on the other hand, are enviably enjoying comprehensive development, with unique strengths in English, invention, and literature & arts.
Our secondary school, with required courses prioritized, attempts “individualized education” through all-English optional and school-based curriculum, which is greatly welcomed by the students. To my delight, nearly a half of its teaching staff holds a master’s degree, and our students have performed extremely well in Zhongkao and Gaokao. Likewise, our graduates of Canadian and American programs have all been admitted into world-famous universities, for their academic excellence, versatile competency, and great creativity. And no wonder, our secondary school has won the 14th gold medal in international invention exposition.
Our international program has tried to place students’ academic learning and personal development in the forefront. For this purpose, it adapts to the changing needs of students with streamlined curriculum, and provides an engaging learning and growing environment for international students. As usual, its graduates have successfully applied into many world-renowned universities.
Our alumni association has finally been established, which will serve as a platform for communication and continued growth of our alumni both at home and abroad. This is a milestone in our school history, witnessing our 20 years of exploration of education.
With all this said, I wish in the forthcoming days, our Chinese and Western faculties continue to learn from each other, with mutual understanding and respect. Only in close co-operation and with positive energy, can you develop noble, wise, and multiple-competent global talents. Accordingly, we should teach our students in their prime time to acquire knowledge, to shape characters, and to think critically. Global while patriotic, all our students can share this special international campus in harmony.
One thing I’d like to stress, is that you could bring extraordinary honors for the school with much-improved teaching. By which is specially meant our secondary school and international program.I strongly hope our secondary school and international program could maximize the potential of your teaching staff to make record-breaking achievements.And another thing is about Covid-19. Since it will possibly co-exist with human beings for some time, education on public health and life safety should be kept in place, and we all should have good habits of personal hygiene.
